Introduction to Newborn Care
Our Newborn & Neonatal Care team are one of the largest in the Cayman Islands, and the only one with multiple, tertiary-trained and accredited neonatologists able to care for the very smallest and sickest or newborn and preterm infants. The newborn care team is headed by Dr Sara Watkin, former Chief of Service for two tertiary NICU services in the UK, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at University College London Hospitals, renowned for its exceptional care and outcomes, as well as its expertise in therapeutic hypothermia (cooling) used in cases of birth asphyxia. Putting your baby’s care in very safe hands with exceptional and quality care and treatment is at our core.
